HISTORY
The site began in 2017 when I volunteered at the end of January to run the London Marathon on behalf of Rotary International (Great Britain and Ireland). The invitation had been issued by Eve Conway the National President who had been offered to support a charity place for Best Beginnings.
I have always been an enthusiastic user of ICT and had developed a number of small websites for local community organisations so I thought it would be good to develop one to add to my publicity. I documented my training and the day on the site and then retained it. However, it has been hacked a couple of times in the past (the ramblings of a middle aged man having high Internet currency) and after 2018 fell into disuse.
Hopefully that will now change and I am developing the site now in 2024 as a sort of “living memorial” – how pretentious is that but for a while at least (atlhough nothing really ever goes away on the Internet) it will show a few of the achievements of my life.
I fully understand that no-one may ever actually read anything that is on this site but it gives me something to do and somewhere to learn.

POSTS
There are two types of posts on this site.
Physical Ramblings which will describe events and achievements which have been completed or are planned as challenges for the future. I shall over time add the posts from the early days of this site to these pages.
Mental Ramblings which are thoughts and reflections about the past and ambitions for the future. Again I shall add old posts and it will be possible to see how many of the ramblings became successful.
I am no mathematician but for me an important equation is:
(Mental Rambling) + (Physical Rambling) + Date = Success.
Please note that the above page was written while under the influence of pain-killers (see November 2020 post) so although it made sense at the time is probably not coherent.
But onwards with developing the site and seeing what I can do.
